How you might use blogs?

I might use them to have contact with the parents in my classroom. This could be a way that the parents could interact with the teacher and each other. The students could help each other with different assignments. Such as what helped them with the assignment and what the due date is. I could also use blogs to seek help from other teachers or staff.
